Besides overseeing creative development, John led a creative and production team of 80, managed a $10M operating budget and supported nearly 1,000 marketing partners. John also oversaw the brand strategy team, 70 creative and printing vendor relationships and creative execution in six regions across the country.

At Preferred Hotels, John led the creative team in support of several hotel brands. And with 800 hotels and 32 regional offices across multiple time zones, this was a 24/7 effort. From Executive offices in southern California, John also integrated the Chicago-based corporate headquarters and directed external agencies located on five continents.

John led creative operations for this Fortune 500 company with a creative and production team of 20. He was also a Group Director to 60. John led integration efforts between the creative team and the marketing, content, media and account teams in addition to chairing a major rebrand for the company. Project work was for technology clients CISCO, HP, Lenovo, Apple and Google.

 

Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide, Program Manager

Interactive marketing was a relatively new strategy when John joined advertising giant Saatchi & Saatchi. The Los Angeles office was dedicated to longtime client Toyota Motor Sales where John lead an innovative initiative. "Building an online community to increase referral sales from an enthusiast target audience was cutting edge and exciting" says John. He went on to manage resources with the brochure team after enthusiast-related content was integrated into the general consumer marketing strategy.

John describes his early agency days as "a high wire act" where he learned to wear many hats.  Over the next 15 years, John would expand his creative and business skills in service of many different industries. Clients included Taco Bell, Pepsico, Carl's Jr., ITT Industries Cannon, Hotel Palmilla, Saatchi & Saatchi, Tenet HeathSystems, Cabo del Sol, Auberge Resorts and Eric Clapton.
